Christmas Card Design Contest
To fulfill its mission to promote Christmas Spirit, the Christmas Spirit Foundation implemented a new project recently where people submitted an art piece for a Christmas card. The instructions were for the artist to show what “Christmas Spirit” means to them.
We offered cash prizes for first, second and third place in both youth (under 18) and adult categories. CSF will produce the Christmas cards in the future to share creative people’s visions as to what Christmas Spirit means. The contest instructions stated that the design can include any of the following: original artwork, photography, graphics, text.
Our independent panel of three judges have scored all the entries from both the adult and youth categories. Here are the winners.

WHO: There are two categories for eligible entry:
• Children under 18 years old on December 1, 2021
• Adults (anyone 18 years or older on December 1, 2021
CSF Trustees and their families/CSF contracted staff and their families are not eligible to win.
WHAT: Design a one-sided Christmas card that depicts what “Christmas Spirit” means to you. The design should fit on 6-inch x 4-inch frame (vertical or horizontal). The design can include any of the following: original artwork, photography, graphics, text. If any copyrighted material is used (images, art, text) an authorization to use the material from the copyright holder must be included with submission.
One entry per person. All entries will be individually scored by three unrelated judges chosen by CSF. Judges will score entries on a scale of 1-100 on how well the card shows the meaning of “Christmas Spirit.”
CASH PRIZES will be awarded for both age categories:
1st place = $300
2nd place = $200
3rd place = $100
Copyright: All contest submissions become property of CSF. Contest winners acknowledge that any cards produced by CSF for sale are owned by CSF, and all rights to proceeds are forfeited to CSF. Winners will have the option of including their name on any printed/produced cards.
WHEN: Entries will be accepted online between December 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. Winners to be announced in late January 2022.
